Die TiHo als Arbeitgeberin
in the Institute for Immunology as soon as possible. The position can be as a civil servant or employee on the basis of the W2/W3 remuneration scheme. Depending on the individual selected, a temporary appointment may be considered.
Applicants are expected to be able to engage in teaching, research and service in the field of veterinary immunology in its entirety. The research activities should include innovative concepts and modern methodology, for example, the use of OMICS techniques for systems immunology research questions. This also includes the future-oriented use of alternative and complementary methods of animal experimentation. In addition to basic immunological research, applied research questions should also be addressed in relevant models that provide important impetus for animal health under the One Welfare paradigm.
The future incumbent should be willing to establish cooperations with institutes and clinics of the TiHo as well as regionally and nationally. We expect the successful applicant to integrate into existing TiHo networks and to initiate and/or participate collaborative research networks.
The incumbent is expected to deliver teaching immunology in the veterinary medicine and in the M.Sc. Animal Biology and Biomedical Sciences programmes at TiHo by developing innovative learning and teaching concepts.
An international research profile with relevant experience in veterinary immunology as evidenced by excellent publications and acquisition of third-party funding is expected. In addition, experience with (inter)-national cooperations as well as experience in leadership and management is expected.
Further requirements for employment are a degree in veterinary medicine, biology or a related life science with a relevant specialisation. We expect a high level of teaching experience, a doctorate, habilitation or equivalent scientific qualification.
Evidence for completion of courses in university didactics should be provided together with results of teaching evaluations. Additional recruitment requirements are regulated in § 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG).
